Our take-make-waste economy emits dizzying amounts of greenhouse gases while squandering resources and depleting natural systems. In order to stay within 1.5 degrees of global warming, we must transform the way we design, use and dispose of products in our economy, and position this as a joint priority in our policy agendas, alongside the energy transition. How can we leverage upstream innovation and cooperation across the supply chain to design out waste; and how can these new processes overlap with our emerging energy solutions?
