Xiomara Acevedo is an internationalist and climate change activist from Colombia. She is the founder and director of Barranquilla +20, a youth-led N.G.O. with a mission to empower children and youth in climate change, biodiversity and water in Colombia and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. She coordinates the Global Youth Biodiversity Network in Colombia and the Women for Climate Justice project. She has received qualifications in climate finance from the Frankfurt School of Management and Finance. a Gates Foundation Generation Equality youth grantee and One Young World ambassador.
