Dr. Elizabeth Rushton is lecturer in geography education at King’s College London, where she leads the Initial Teacher Education Geography program. She is also managing editor of Routes – The Journal for Student Geographers. Her research interests focus on geography and science education, specifically the professional development of teachers and student participation in research, alongside environmental education. Recent research on education for environmental sustainability has been funded by the British Educational Research Association, while the Economic and Social Research Council has funded an 18-month project to support teachers who trained during the Covid-19 pandemic.
